Spending Foolish

Happy Monday Family How Are You?

Do you say anything when you see someone squandering their money away?
We do nothing. If you try to give instruction like that to another adult they just resent it. I agree with whoever said that you should say nothing unless they now come to you for money. Any maybe even then you shouldn't say anything. It may just make them hate you and will accomplish nothing. If they are not asking you for money, say nothing. If they come to you for a handout or loan, then you can say what you want. However, be prepared for them to tell you that how they spend their money is not your concern. Even though you did not ask this, don't loan any money that you cannot afford to treat as a gift. Do you feel this way? Have a Great Cheap Cheetah Week!

Free Movies

Good Morning Family. How are you today?

Today I wanted to share with you a movie that I watched last night. Rage with Nicholas Cage. It was a good movie. The story was very good and the ending was a shock.. I will not spoil it for you because I want you to see it. The best part was not only the story but  it was free. That's right free compliments of my local library. You know you can get some great movies form the library. Of course they are last years movies but who cares. And yes you only have 3 days to watch them and return them but who care. And yes sometimes they don't play because they have been overused but who care. They are free. So you get a few that are bad just return them and get some new ones.

Look at it this way you get free movies, take $10  buy dinner and some movie popcorn. You relax with your family in your home  and the cost to you is what $10 or sometimes even less. To me that's a cheapskate's way to fun entertainment.

Being A CheapSkate Means..

Good Morning Family How are you today?

Well for me being cheap means that I have to do yard work, because I let my gardener go. He was to expensive and I realized for 1/3 of the price that I could do the yard myself and get some needed exercise. Yes it's hard work and I sweat a lot doing the work  but that's the price you have to pay when your a cheapskate like me.  Have a Great Cheap Cheetah Day!

Take Control

                                             Good Morning Family Happy Thursday!

These Lifestyle Changes Can Save You Money.

Here are some suggestions of mine:

Stop watching television and paying for cable. You can get whatever you want online. Find the cheapest broadband available. Seriously, you don't need TV.

Live somewhere closer to work/school. This has been proven to increase happiness (by decreasing commute time and rush hour frustration), and, if you use public transportation or walk or bike (biking being my suggestion), you will cut down ENORMOUSLY on cost. Preferably, find somewhere to live where a car is almost unnecessary.

Have a cheap phone. You don't need a data plan. 3G is redundant in a city where WiFi is ubiquitous. Unlimited texting may be worth paying for (maybe), but data plans are a waste of money.

Do things yourself. You don't need a house cleaner, a gardener, a plumber, an electrician, etc. to fix every problem that comes along, or to keep up with weekly maintenance. If you do, you are living in too large a house, or you're too lazy.

You also probably don't need to eat out very often. Cook most of your meals — it doesn't have to be anything fancy, and more often than not, you'll find joy in cooking. It's not for everyone, but I love it. For those who abhor cooking, find microwaveable dinners, or Stouffer's lasagna. That stuff is easy AND delicious.

In general, try and realize that a lot of what you have, you really don't need. You've just been tricked into needing it. As soon as you can wean yourself off of these frivolous niceties, you'll be living a frugal lifestyle. With plenty more money to SAVE.

Back To School

Hey Family How Are you Today?

It's almost that time, Back to school. If your a frugal/cheapskate what would be some of the ways that you spend money on the stuff that your children might need for back to school? Here's some suggestions. Take advantage of staples and office max's penny sales on school supplies. Look for discounted places like 99 cents or dollar stores to purchase certain back to school items. See what you have from last year that you can use this year. Look for bargains in thrift and second hand stores. Set a budget and stick to it. These are some of my suggesting what's your?

I want to save money I am a savaholic, But yet by feeling this way an I missing out on living my life because I refuse to spend a lot of money if any money at all?
