Still Going

Hey my Cheap Cheetah Family, How are you today?

Just wanted to let you know for Feb 1th 2017 the coin investment challenge is still going....on....
Picture it  this bottle is half way full of pennies, quarters, nickles, dimes, dollars and some half dollars. You got that in your mind now. That is what I have in my big bottle like this right now. I decided that at this stage of the game why not put the money to better use. Then have it just sit around and collect dust. So I am rolling up all that I have in this big bottle and sending it  off to my checking account. So that later on I could use the money to purchase stock with. Your money can not grow unless you invest it into something-right.

So with that ,the coin investment challenge still lives on for Feb 2017 and even after that. I am still finding and saving my coins  to play the stock market game with it... Remember I told you about my Kellogg's stock purchases. Yep all done with saved coins.....  Have a great Cheap Cheetah Week and Save That Money!!!

Let's Eat!!!

Hello My Cheap Cheetah Family, How are you today?
Today let's talk about eating in a healthy manner. When you eat healthy that means your saving money. How you ask. By being healthy it means no extra doctors visits, no extra medications, no extra medical insurance to pay. Because you are healthy and the ailments that non healthy people get your lucky not to have because you are healthy. I know I am a diabetic which because of my bad eating habits I have to pay more for my medications ,doctors visits etc. One part of being healthy is eating right.

                                        Eating Healthy
1. Buy Whole Foods. Unprocessed foods are cheaper and more nutritious than processed foods. They also give you total control over the ingredients. Avoid anything that comes from a box 90% of the time.
2. Buy Frozen Fruits & Veggies. Unfreeze berries in microwave and eat warm with cottage cheese. Put frozen spinach in a colander the night before and try one of these recipes the next day. Try also frozen beans & broccoli. Benefits:

3. Buy in Bulk. Especially when you have promos running. Foods like pasta, rice and oats are easy to stockpile. If they’re on sale, buy as much as you can afford & store to last you until the next sale. More ideas.
4. Buy In Season Fruits & Veggies. Food grown in season tastes better and is cheaper. Root vegetables in the Winter. Apples & squash in the Fall. Broccoli & berries in the Summer
5. Buy Discounted Meat. Grocery stores often discount meats by up to 70% as they approach expiration date. Buy several pounds and store in your freezer.

6.Clip Coupons. Invest 2$ in your Sunday paper or print the coupons from the Grocery Coupon Guide. Read also how to get the most out of coupons.

7.Avoid Impulse Buying. “Failing to plan is planning to fail”. The best way to avoid impulse buying is to prepare yourself before you do the grocery.
8. Stop Buying Food Outside. Preparing your own food gives you total control over the ingredients and is cheaper than buying food at work/school.

Be Good!

Good Morning My Cheap Cheetah Family. How are you today?

If you want to be successful at your company, be a good soldier, and that means:

1) Show up to work on time. In fact, if you can get their a little before everyone else, you get bonus points. I have one friend that was very successful in a sales position and eventually became vice president of sales. He was the first in the office every morning, making those phone calls. He was very competitive and made a lot of money.

2) Dress well. If you want people to take you seriously, dress like you are serious. Don't ever look like a slob or dress too casual.

3) Never more than one or two drinks at office get together. Don't ever let anyone see you drunk or sloppy or out of control.

4) Avoid office gossip. Don't gossip. Don't talk ill of your boss, other coworkers, or the company and avoid those who do. It's a downward spiral.

5) Take a lunch break. Although you want people to know you are working hard, don't make it look like you're killing yourself. Take a lunch break, enjoy a healthy lunch, and use the time to relax, take a walk, or socialize with other coworkers.

6) Keep a clean desk. Keep your desk organized so it looks like you're in control of your life and your destiny. A clean desk is a clean mind.

7) Keep your personal life personal. Don't tell people about your sex life or who you're dating or how much you drank at that party last night. These are your coworkers, not your college buddies.

Cutting Cost

How frugal are you when it comes to cutting costs?

 I am pretty cheap....
I don't turn the thermostat up above 68, 64 at night...
I buy all my groceries on sale (well 99%) loss leaders and lots of them....
I take advantage of freebies.....
I will fix what I have before buying a new one if I can......
I trade or barter for some things now...
I shop at yard sales and thrift stores for clothes and housewares...
I check all the bills and watch what the cashier rings up, I don't get overcharged for ANYTHING !!!!!!!
I have energy efficient appliances, and keep the water heater blanketed and on 120 degrees f.....
I reuse containers for leftovers or crafting.......
There are more, but it's early....
*I keep the heat off until I just can't take it anymore.
*Upgraded to Premium calling plan on our phone bill, because we were spending a lot calling our families (in another county).
*I buy all generic/store brands
*I use coupons for brands I am loyal to, combining them with sales
*We no longer have a cell phone That's all I can think of. These are some of the things that I do with other people's suggestions as well. So my Cheap Cheetah Family share what you do to cut your  cost?

Fat Rat Story

Good Morning My Cheap Cheetah Family. Here's My Fat Rat story. When I went on my Dec cruise. I received $100 in on board credit. Then something happen to my cabin and the cruise ship gave me an extra $300 on board credit. plus they did all my dirty laundry for free. Which if you know on a ship for them to do your laundry can get expensive. So all my travel clothes that were dirty were washed and pressed free. I got $400 on board credit which I used for all the holiday shopping on the ship when they had their $10 sale. I also used my credit to take a tour of one of the islands. So when I got home the only thing that I spend for 10 days on vacation was $500 and that's was for 2 people. I say I got over like a fat rat! Thanks NCL Gem!  Have a Great  Cheap Cheetah Day and Save That Money!
