Hey Cheap Cheetah Family, Just wanted to say Happy Halloween. Also the Halloween stuff is now 33% off. If you wait until Monday morning to get your Halloween goodies they will probably be 50% off. I went in to the official Halloween store today and it was empty. That's where I got the top picture from. So what are you doing for Halloween? Old School Savings

                                        Hello My Cheap Cheetah Family. How Are You Today?

Call me old school because I still believe in order to save money for anything like holidays expenses you need to set money aside for it in a Holiday Club. Do you still use a holiday or vacation club from your bank. I do, why because let's think about it for a moment. You say that your going to put money away for the holidays  next year. Because you realized this  holiday season  you spent way to much money that you didn't budget for.  I personally find myself spending more money in October and November.

So when the  New Year comes around you.  You promise yourself that you would start  saving money for that years holiday expenses. Your intentions are good  about saving but your follow thru not so much. Things come up and the money that you earmarked for the holidays gets spent on other things. Now what the holidays are here you have one of two choices. Either put the holiday on the credit cards or don't do the holidays at all. Meaning skip it until  next year when you have the money for it.  Which One is it going to be?


That's why I still use Holiday Clubs it helps me save for the holidays without the worry of spending the money before the holidays come. The best part is that I can open the club with $1 and put any extra money I get through out the year into the my Holiday club. I put it into the bank and now  the money can not be touched until the holiday season comes around. Its a safe and easy way for me to save for the unexpected expenses that always comes around the holidays. Personally I use my holiday check to go on vacation. Do you really think I want to be around all that craziness during  holiday time. Heck No!  Have a great Cheap Cheetah Day!

My Challenges

                         

 Happy Tuesday My Cheap Cheetah Family. How are you today? I told you I was serious about my twenty dollar challenge this time! Here's what I have done so far. I had a yard sale that netted me $125.00. I was surprised at that . The last time I had a yard sale I made only about $60 bucks. But that was ok. Whatever I sold from the yard sale would be one less thing that I would donate. Also I got to clean my garage out of all the stuff that was not needed. So cleaning out and making money was a good thing for me.

I also open a e creator store and used some of the things I needed to sell from around the house to open the store with. So my inventory so far cost me about $2. ( I got two things at a yardsale to sell)  The e creator store is free to open.  I went to Atlantic City a couple of weeks ago and I won $140 on A 10 dollars in  free slot play I got from the casino. So I am counting that toward my twenty dollar challenge.

I am also doing some Mystery Shopping which I will add that money toward my challenge as well. 

I can say that for my Twenty Dollar Challenge I am up about $137. dollars or so. Which is a good thing for me. Since I started in Oct. Most of this money is going toward my 2017 Holiday Club so In November of 2017 I will have spending money for my California Cruise. Since I am unemployed at the moment.                                      Good Morning Family. Are You Saving Money Today?

   You know what I am so tired of everybody thinking that being a Cheapskate is such a dirty word versus being Frugal which is a nicer word.  I am a cheapskate and I don't care what people think as long as I am saving money and not hurting, disrespecting or taking advantage of anyone. I am good with my cheapskate status and proud of it. I come from a long line of cheapskates that showed me if I make some sacrifices I  can have some of the things that I really want in life.

Heck being a cheapskate help me to find the value in living for experiences with out the worry of where my next dollar would be coming from

Being a cheapskate help me to escape the political bull crap of a city job that over the course of the years I began to hate.

Being a cheapskate allowed me to pay off my home  my car and save for retirement  within the  on a salary that was less then $40,000 a year. So yes I am a cheapskate who cares as long as I can still save money and enjoy my life . You can call me whatever......

Holiday Jobs Are......

Good Morning My Cheap Cheetah Family, Just wanted to give you a heads up if your looking for a holiday job this year. The stores are stating to hire for the holiday season. I always found my best time to go job hunting for a holiday job was the day I was off from my full-time job and that's on Columbus Day.
I interviewed for a Sears job last month  and I really wanted it but I was going on Vacation in December.  The personnel lady I interviewed with  stated that if I worked for Sears they could not approve my vacation time. I already have my tickets paid in full . So I could not work for them. Because I need my vacation more then I needed a Sears job at the moment. Maybe I will try again when I come back. So just wanted to give you the heads up. Have a Great Cheap Cheetah Day!

This Is Crazy.....

                           Good Morning My Cheap Cheetah Family. How Are You Today!

Who the heck Knew!!! I had to purchase a basic no frills . Really wanted cheap washing machine. The sale price was $377 but after the delivery charge, hose charge, set up charge, take my old machine away charge and warranty for 2 years it cost me $560! When the heck did appliances go up so much. And get this the machine is only good for like 7 years. Ain't that a kick in the head.... You know spending this much on a machine hurt my because I am true cheap cheetah!

My Coin Investment

 Hey Everyone Just wanted to give you a coin investment update it's been a minute. Well I got my statement yesterday and I have about $500. invested into to Kellogg stock and that's just from saving coins from when I started.( This is old statement I am showing you)  I saved up $65 in coins for the initial  deposit. Remember it was $50 to buy in  plus admin fee of $15. Done with coins. Then I just stared saving my coins and every time I get $25 dollars or more in coins I send a check in to buy more stock. It was easy and I did not miss the coins. Besides I know that my coins are making me $$. So if you interested then you should try it to. Having your coins make you money it's also a great way  to get into the habit of  buying stock with not a whole lota $$.

My Challenge Progress

                               Good Morning My Cheap Cheetah Family. How are you today?

 I told you that I was serious about my $20 dollar challenge that started in October 1. Yesterday  I  returned all the plastic bottles I had around the house for the 5 cents deposit. I got a whopping 70 cents for everything. I also had a 25% off coupon that I used from CVS drug store  that saved me $1.70. So my total toward my challenge was $2.40 which is going in my 2017 Holiday club when the banks starts it up again on Nov 1th. I am saving the money so next year in November I will have spending money for a California Cruise. You know a Sista  not working  right now, so  I am trying to think of ways to save some pocket spending money has my partner calls it.
