Stock Junkie

Hello My Cheap Cheetah Family. How are you today?

So here's the question. Am I the only one that would rather spend my money on purchasing stock in companies that I like then to take that same amount of money and use it to purchase a piece of clothing?

On a personal note, I find myself saving and making money  anyway I can all so that I can either add more money to my existing stocks/mutual funds.  Or so  I can  purchase new  stocks that I have had my eyes on for a while.  When I purchase  stocks or buy mutual funds  they must  have a cheap buy in and good dividend. Like the Kellogg stock I told you about that I purchased with coins I might add. I know some say that it's not good to put all your money in to the market what if it crashes. They have a point but I say what if it's don't! I mean we all take chances in life when we quit our jobs and take that leap into a new life jobless. When we go on vacation to foreign countries not knowing the  the culture. When we go sky diving, Skiing in the snowy mountains  , camping in the woods all those fun but crazy activities we do . We are taking  chances. So why not take a chance on something that will pay you  to do all the other things that I just mentioned.

I don't know about you but I rather for someone to complement me on buying a good stock that payed me crazy dividends then someone complementing me on a new pair of shoes. But that's just me!

SnowStorms Ain't Cheap!

Good Morning  My Cheap Cheetah Family, Happy Monday! Well if you did not hear let me tell you, here it is a week before Spring and New York  will be having a Major Snow Storm. Starts late  Monday night and it will go all day Tuesday. They are call the Snow Storm Sarah.. Well I am not much of a snow fan with all the shoveling and the wet cold stuff you have to step in.  Sarah has cost me a bit of money and she's not even here yet. Here my break down of my expenses for Sarah the snowstorm.

Groceries cost me $117. I had to make sure that I had enough at home to last me for 2-3 days in-case I can't get out of the house. So yea I panic and over spent in the food department.  RockSalt $20 for 2 bags. If you don't get them early you have to get them in the grocery store which is way more expensive then Home Depot.  Shovel $19.95 had to get a new one my last good one broke in the last snow storm. The reason this  shovel is expensive is that it's helps your back when your shoveling heavy snow.  Pack  of Batteries $10  for my flashlights and other emergency items I have that run on batteries. And lastly putting on the extra pounds because I purchase junk food to eat while I am waiting for the storm to pass so I can shovel it. That might not have cost me $$ but it's costing me in weight gain.

So yes this snow storm is costing me in more ways then one. Have a Great Cheap Cheetah Day! & Save That Money!!!

Reciepts

Hello My Cheap Cheetah Family, How Are You Today?
It pays to always check your receipts. Today I went food shopping while checking my receipt. I saw that they charged me $3.99 for a item that should have been $2. This is not the first time that I have caught mistakes like this. It always pays to check, It's your money don't waste it by letting someone take it from you because of a mistake! Banking

Hello My Cheap Cheetah Family, How Are you Today???

Bank accounts?!
So I was YouTube surfing and came across this couple who make financial videos. The wife apparently has a degree in finance according to their site. I located a video they had about why they use 13 bank accounts. I only watched 1/3 of the video but figured out pretty quick they are basically treating the bank accounts as categories. They have one account the direct deposits go into, and then they put money into other accounts such as eating out, non-monthly bills like taxes, etc. so do you think a person needs 13 bank accounts to separate their money or a simple spread sheet?

I personally have about 4 bank accounts, Not counting my investment accounts. I could see people using a lot of bank accounts for various reasons. I remember an old personal fiance books that I read that stated you must have 13 bank accounts that way you can separate your money.  My feeling is this yes as long as it's a free account and they are not charging  you interest. then by all means open as many as you like but make sure you really need them and at least get something out of the deal like a free gift or some money for opening the account.

Refunds

Good Morning My Family. I know these months leading up until April are tax refund months. For those who get a refund. My question to you is this what are you doing with your refund check? Some say they are putting it toward bills, other toward a vacation, some say they are building an emergency fund with it. Have you thought about taking a small portion of that money and starting a side business with it. So that way you can keep having extra money coming into on the regular beside your paycheck? Once you business takes off of course. I have seen people start small side business with $100 or less. Heck I have started my side business with $20 and looked for free stuff that would help my business. Think about it? Have A Great Cheap Cheetah Day & Save That Money
