To Expensive

                                                     Hello, My Cheap Cheetah Family

How are you today? Happy April. This week, I wanted a taste of my childhood and craved some  Carvel ice Cream. I used to love the frozen bonnets and flying saucers when I was younger. So, I went to my local Carvel's, and to say I went into sticker shock at the prices. You just don't know.  I know Ice cream in general has gone up in price, but Carvel was crazy.  For a very small bonnet, you know, the sugar cone with chocolate ice cream or vanilla coated in chocolate or a red coating. They wanted 3.99 each for them, and their flying saucers were $2.99 each. Which were also small. I had to back out of the store slowly because their prices were ridiculous. I don't mind treating myself once in a while. But I can buy a gallon of ice cream for what they want for a small ice cream bonnet or even a flying saucer. Was I wrong to walk out of Carvel, letting my cheapness take over? Should I have just let my treat yourself side wind and pay for something that I craved because I wanted to remember my childhood? What do you think?

Happy April Family

                                                        Hey There Cheap Cheetah Family

Happy April! What are you doing so far this month to save money? I was thinking since I'm around that age, should I collect Social Security or wait until I can get more money when I'm older? I see that if you're at that stage where you're deciding on whether to collect social security retirement at 62 or later. This all depends on your finances. If you need the money, go and get it. You paid into it, and it's your money, but if you can wait a bit longer to collect without it hurting you financially, then I say wait maybe an extra year or two. The increase in your waiting time won't be that big, but every bit of extra money makes a difference. At least in my book it dies. So, weigh your options when it comes to figuring out when you want to collect your Social Security retirement check and see what suits you better.
