Two Days Only!!!

Good Morning My Cheap Cheetah Family. I am counting today so we only have 2 days left until the New Year and also until the challenges start. I love that Jan 1th is on a Sunday. So get ready because here are the challenges that we are taking on for 2017.

Twenty Dollar Challenge- You take $20 dollars and you try that  $20 in to $500 or more by the end of the year. Which means you sell your A** Off. Great Creative and find ways to make or save money to add to your challenge. The money you make for your challenge you can put it in to a  coin bank that you having around the house or start a holiday club with it, or simple put the money in an envelope and put it away. What I did was open a holiday club since it only cost me $1 to open one and I started putting my challenge money in my holiday club. That way the money goes in but will not come out until Oct 2017.  Remember your goal is to make $500 or better out of that $20.
 Some of the things I did to make money for my challenge was return my bottles got 70 cents , used coupons, all my lotto wins and if I sell stuff in my online store it all goes toward my Challenge. I am saving for a cruise in late  2017.

Coin Investment Challenge- This is saving all your coins until you have  saved enough to put that money toward an investment. Like  purchasing stock or buying something that you really need that will make you money. I am using my coins that I save to purchase Kellogg stock.  When you invest your coins in stock, Find a cheap stock that you like  and that you can buy direct from the company that way you are bypassing the fee that you would pay a broker. I purchased Kellogg for $65 dollars to start  and the ongoing price that I can buy stock from them is $25. So when I get $25 in coins I buy more stock.

First Snow

Hello My Cheap Cheetah Family, Happy Saturday. I woke up and look what I got. Yep that's snow and I had to shovel. Thank goodness it rained . So I shoveled slush instead of snow.. Here's the snow story. Have a great Cheap Cheetah Week and Save that Money....

Broke for the Holidays

                                                  Good Evening Family. How are you?
         How do you handle being broke for the holidays? Here's what some people do when they are broke during holiday time...

Ask the relatives/friends to just give gifts to the kids or just basics the adults need.

I would give out hand written gift certificates , for my aunt who had a hard time cleaning her home I would give her a gift certificate for one day of house cleaning, and I would give my mom a certificate for a picnic in the park for just the two of us. Nothing I offered cost any money but they were warmly received.

Give the gift of love. Write each family member/friend a hand-written note to tell them what you most appreciate and enjoy about them...recall past kindnesses or events you shared with them...
Everyone else knows we just don't do gifts, and after a few years my family has also gotten on board with that.

I personally stop giving gifts years ago. I give token small things to family and my friends I treat them to a lunch or dinner to places I have a coupons for and that works out fine for everybody.
                                So what do you do when your broke for the holidays?

Hello My  Cheap Cheetah Family. How are you today? Here's a 2017  money saving idea for you.   Get an empty jar and sit it some place that you know you will notice it everyday. You can even decorate it if you like. The idea of the empty jar is this, every time you save money or make it the empty jar gets $1. So if you used a coupon in January and you saved money with that coupon the empty jar gets $1 or 50 cents you decide on what amount you want to put into the jar. But once you start you must continue to do it until the end of the year. So if I make money selling my stuff online I put $1 in my jar. If  I don't buy something that I need and make do with what I have it's another $1 for the jar.  Anything that you do that saves, or  makes you money the jar gets $1. By the end of the year I bet you have a whole lota dollars for whatever you want to do with them. So what do you think? Good idea right?

Twenty Dollar Challenge Update

                                Good Morning My Cheap Cheetah Family. How Are you today?
Here's the story for the week. It really pays to pay attention to coupons. I went to Sears, Yes I know they will be out of business in 2017. There goes my job search (LOL) Well they had a 20% off coupon if you spend $50 bucks or more. You know I spent that because I am trying to get some fresh things for my trip. That coupon saved me $19.89 which is going toward my challenge.
 
I won I won  $20 on a scratch off ticket. So that's good. Also I am doing some serious mystery shopping this month so that should add $75 to my challenge. So far it's been a pretty good month.

I did mention that I opened a online store but so far nothing special but I am trying. I have not stop rolling my coins for the investment challenge. Last time I rolled coins it was about $45 and I still got plenty of coins to go. will keep you posted.Have a Great Cheap Cheetah Week & Save That Money!
