Happy Weekend. Just wanted to share something with you today. I was watching a news program about gift cards. They were saying a lot of people received gift cards for the holidays this year. They stated remember to use your gift card wisely. Buy the things that are really need. Ok, you can buy some fun stuff to but.. The most important thing is make sure you use your gift card because a lot of stores that offer gift cards are now going out of business.
It would be a shame to waste somebody's money that they spend on you for the gift card and the store they spend it for closed down. If a store closes and you have a gift card for that store you lose. I had that happen to a friend of mine. He had gift certificates in the amounts of $200, $100, $50 ( this was before gift cards) for Macy's that he had kept for over 20 years. Thank god Macy's was still standing when we went to use them. Even then Macy's gave us a hard time about using them because they were so old. What would have happen if Macy's was closed down. We would have been out $350. That's a heck of a lot of money to lose.
So if you have gift cards make sure you use them because with the way retail stores are going these days you might lose them.
