Hello My Family Happy Sunday To You!
Frugal /Cheap Wedding Ideas
1.Borrow framed wedding photos from both side of the
family to display at the wedding reception. Print labels that say "
Bride's Aunt Polly and Uncle Bob" So that
everyone knows who they are.
2. Consider ordering fresh flowers from your grocery
store and making your own bouquets and
table arraignments. Buy a few flowers get
some ribbons and see what you end up with.
3. Make your own food for your reception. Enlist your
family help, but it wouldn't take much to make your own. You can make a salad ,
lasagna and bread, mixed veggie bowls, meatballs will feed 250 people. You can
also get a sheet cake from the big
warehouse stores.
4. Look for your wedding dress and your brides maid's
dresses in thrift store or off the internet for a better discount. I have seen
my local thrift store with a large selection of wedding dresses at $50-100
dollars depending upon the details and the size of the dress.
5. For church decorations be creative and shop at
craft stores to see what you can get and do to decorate the church and reception. You can get your ribbons, flowers, lace,
table cloths designs at craft stores. You can ask the people working there what
your looking for they might have some great ideas for you.
6. Don't forget your local dollar store for your wine
glasses, decorations, plates and dishes, lighting. They have a ton of stuff in
their inventory that you can use for your wedding day.
7 Wedding invitation you can search for some nice
ones off the internet or make they yourself and go to staples to have them
print it up for you. What I am seeing now is that people who are getting
married are using the internet to send
the invitations. there by skipping on
the postage fees.
8 You could get married at the courthouse and have a
small dinner for just the immediate family at a local all you can eat place. If
you just want the basic's for your wedding.
9. For music for your wedding pick a local band or DJ
and barter with them for their services. Or get a friend to make you some mixed
music cds and get a cd player and have one of your guest play DJ for the
day. changing the cds when necessary.
10. Look on Craig's list or offer up for items from
someone else's wedding that are being sold for cheap.
11. For the reception for your drinks have wines,
beers and juice. cut's down on the cost of expensive liquor.
12. If your doing party favors, go simple. Most
people do not do much with the party favors from a wedding. Why not put
candy in a little cute container or small vase with a ribbon around
it by each plate with a printed paper on them saying date/name of
the bride and groom.
13. Doing your make up and hair for the bride and
bridesmaids can be done by doing it yourself or have a friend who's really
great with makeup and hair see if they can do it. if you must use a
professional see if you can get a group discount. Same with getting your nails
done think group discounts.
14. Taking
wedding photos use a professional and try and get a discount if he does the
photos and videos. You can also try and
get a photographer that is just starting out I bet his prices would be better
then the more seasoned one.
15. Car services to the wedding. Forget the limos and
fancy cars. Have friends with a nice
classic car drive you to the church. who care what the bride rides up in as long as she get's there on
time.
