Hello, My Cheap Cheetah Family
Happy Feb 1st, how are you today? Did you know that you can't really live on just social security checks if you live in New York or another expensive city like New York? I was trying to do an experiment or thinking about doing one. I went over my basic bills for 2025, and it was about $3000 for the month. With my pension and social security, I should get around $2100 a month. I'm short 900. Let's say $1000 for extra I didn't count on. With a pension that is small from the city and my social security check, I still can't afford to live where I'm living, and I like it here. I can't afford anything in New York on that kinda money. The reason I'm saying this is that I have watched videos where people are living on just their social security checks, and I'm wondering where you're living that social security's enough to cover your basic needs plus an emergency? I might want to move thee to. The reason I'm saying this is that even though I'm a cheapskate, no matter how hard you try and save sometime it doesn't work. Ask the people you see in Walmart grocery stores and other retail places, a lot of them are seniors. I've even seen more seniors now doing YouTube for extra money. It breaks my heart to see Seniors having to struggle to make ends meet. I'm thinking about getting a part-time job this year myself. Just to save some extra money that I can put away for those just-in-case moments. What do you think?
