Thanksgiving Already

Happy Pre-Thanksgiving. I can't believe that's thanksgiving coming up so soon. To be truthful I am not even ready for it. Last time I paid the club price of walking out of a grocery store it cost me $130.00. Just for the basic food items. It has gotten so that amount is not shocking me like it normally would. It's like the norm now for groceries. I am afraid  I might be losing my cheapskate ways because of the crazy prices that I am forced to spend just to live a life that's not even luxury. 

As much as I try and be a cheapskate it's getting harder and harder to save that dollar. Espically, if you want to enjoy your life while you still can. I find myself saying forget it and buying what I want without thinking about the price. Even thought I have medical bills to think about  paying among other bills. I am sorry this has became a rant instead of me sharing my cheapskate ways. I get like this over the holidays. Where I throw money cautions out the window and just spend a little more then I should. Do you get like that sometimes?

Oh well I just want to say happy Thanksgiving, be blessed safe and enjoy the day

Wasteful

                                                                 Hello Family

Happy Halloween, This is not my moth when it comes to saving money and I will tell you why. I am very wasteful when it comes to food. I find myself making food to save money then I spend money to order out. So the food I have already cooked goes to waste while  I eat the ordered food up. Because when I order food they seem to give me enought food to last me for 2-3 days. I hate wasting food since it's so expensive. Don't get me started on having things that I like to eat or when I get on a food kick. I am on a mixed nut kick right now. Where I have to have mixed nuts and they cost like $5-7  for a small can. I have thrown my cheapskate mindset out the window because of my food kick. I know it's crazy right?

As far as being wasteful what I am doing to save money or try and make a little extra is that I am reading about what banks are giving the better interest rates. I have seen where interest rates have went up to 55 which my present bank was offering. So I  closed down some of my accounts that were only getting 3% and opened accounst that were getting me 5%. which I was hoping that  the interest rates would go back up to 16% I know whishful thinking on my part.

so for this halloween i have not purchase one bag od candy. have you seen how expensive candy is. i overheard som ladies talking about purchaing candy for halloween at the dollor tee or family dollar store. Which is a good idea espically if your having a holloween party or you just want to have something to give to the trick or treater this year.

Water

                                                                Hello Family

Happy October 1th. How is everybody today? Well, me not so good. We had a lot of rain in the last couple of days in New York. Let me tell you water damage to a basement or home is a cheapskate's worst nightmare. Here's why first you have to clean up all that water if you can. Then you have to inspect the damage. If you're lucky you can clean it up the water yourself. If not you have to call someone in to help you clean it up. Meaning it will cost you. Which when I call water cleanup crews, they were not cheap. Si I invested in a shopvac which will help you clean up excessive water in your home. Which the shopvac was not cheap but worth it.  I hate when I get water in my basement, but I have been lucky to be able to clean it up myself with the help of the supplies that I carry. But it still cost me in the long run buying the supplies that are needed to clean up a mess like water damage.  Which my homeowner's insurance won't cover taking since they are always talking about water damage is an act of god. Really???? 

Also, you have to think about the things that you have to throw out and replace that cost money to. So, yes water damage is a cheapskate's nightmare too much money to get it fixed, stuff replaced and the work that goes into it to clean it. t

Money Stress

                                                                            Hello  Family

How are you today? I realized that not only bills could bring you money stress but not getting enough money can bring it on to. Here's what I am talking about. I am trying to liquate a lot of my collections from 5-10 years ago. I used to collect barbie dolls and other things like G.I Joes. Now getting older I am trying to sell off my collection. Which is not easy I realized that a lot of people are like me cheapskates. Which I am not knocking it I respect it.

Now this is where the stress comes in trying to liquate stuff to make money for your bills and other things that you might need in the future. It's a stressful process. Also, it seems that when it rains it pours when it comes to bills all coming in at the same time. I personally hate paying bills but what can we do about it. Got any suggestions? I know not pay them is an option but that's not for me. I like a roof over my head, heat and running water (lol)   

Other then my money stress things are overall expensive but what can we do put try to find cheaper alternative that best work for us. If you have any cheapskate money saving suggestions I am all ears.

Happy Labor Day Weekend

                                                           Hello Family!!

the last time we spoke was back in July. I know it's been a while, but I just wanted to wish my Family a safe and Happy Labor Day. I know with thins so expensive can you say food. Labor might be on the lean side this year when it comes to cookout and picnics. I can understand.

As for me Cheap Cheetah I am doing the free stuff for the weekend. Like the free outdoor concerts, walking in the parks. seeing if they will have a fireworks or a car show close to me free stuff. You know I like free or close to it. For food I am only buying what's on sale or if I have to pay full retail, I am looking for the best quality at the lowest price. Which is almost impossible to do. But that's what makes it fun it's like going on a hunt to save money.

Can you believe that the 4th is already here? So, how's the money thing going? For me not so good. I seem to have spent more money on junk in June then necessary. Can you say lotto tickets and groceries. I must have lost my mind to have spent $60 dollars on a chance to   in win nothing in the lottery. Don't try this at home family. It's a waste of time and hard earn money. Glad that it's a great month and the money challenges are back on. So, what are you doing to save money this July. Would love to know.
